Establishment and Evolution

The State of Palestine, officially known as Dawlat Filasṭīn or دولة فلسطين, is a country situated in the southern Levant region of West Asia. Its history revolves around the creation and development of the state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Peel Commission's Recommendation

In 1937, the Peel Commission proposed dividing Palestine into separate Jewish and Arab states. The Jewish state would include Tel Aviv and the coastal areas, while the Arab state would encompass other parts of Palestine.

International Recognition

Currently, Palestine holds the status of a Permanent Observer State at the United Nations, which grants it limited participation rights in the organization. However, its full sovereignty and recognition as a fully independent state remain subjects of ongoing.
